Hello, I know these are not great pics but I'm believing this is Microsynodontis polli. Can anyone confirm? If anyone thinks different please speak on why.

And if this is S. polli, are there folks here that can speak on any added experience around maintenance, water quality, etc., thats not in the Cat-elog 'page'?

Hi Clay,

I agree they look like the fish in other photos of young , but I don't know if any other species would look the same. When I found the one juvenile in my tank, it already had a mature color pattern.

I imagine care will be the same as for sp(1). I have my group in a 29 gal (doesn't need to be this big) tank with bamboo pipes and cobblestones. Neutral to slightly acidic water, 78F. Matten filter with an added airstone. They take shrimp flakes, live blackworms, frozen foods and freeze dried foods readily.

Good luck,
Eric

Thanks for the info Eric. I stumbled on this guy in the fish shop, hiding in about 100 Kuhli loaches. Love good surprises.
