HELP ID Corydoras

Hi everyone,

I have been on a quest to find my lonely cory some tankmates. They were sold to me as false julii's but one clearly is not.
I was told she could be C102, so I purchased 10 online, but they seem much smaller than my original cory.
I will attempt to get better pictures ASAP.

Thank you

Hi Landoe,

Welcome to Planetcatfish! You're right, this fish looks different. I'm not exactly sure what that one is, but it's not C102. The snout is usually longer in C102.

I'll give this ID more thought, but hopefully someone else knows.

Cheers, Eric

Thank you!

The lone cory is also huge! She is almost twice the size of my false julii and my C102's.
Hopefully we can figure this out so I can get her some buddies!
And to confirm, the one's I bought are in fact C102's?

The ID looks OK, but these are smaller specimens ATM. So, just wondering if we should rethink the first fish in question actually being a [larger, (female)] ?

I was thinking trilineatus also, but am still a little uncomfortable with the snout.

Thank you for all the replies!
The snout of my cory is longer, and the dots on her nose don't seem to connect like the c trilineatus.
I took some more pics of her with c trilineatus so you can see the difference.

I contacted Eric Bodrock, he is known to spawn rare corys/plecos, and he could not pinpoint what she is either.
He said gomezi or cw058.
I also contacted a cory breeder from my fish club, waiting for his opinion.
Not sure who else to ask if he doesn't know

Just updating this thread in case someone else has a similar situation.
I contacted another known corydoras breeder and he explained that the mysterious cory is in fact a C102, just a sexually mature one. He explained that C102 are slow growers and will reach breeding age at around 18months. My C102s are maybe a year old. That is why there is such a difference in size.
