I have had a love and interest in catfish ever since I was a child, and after gaining decent experience keeping fish, I have decided I want to try my hand at breeding catfish for fun, I know synodontis petricola can be bred in home aquaria relatively easy, but I was curious if other synodontis/microsynodontis and African catfish as a whole had similar ease of breeding to keep options open.

I am going to answer here as you have asked similar questions in three threads. Start with the Reproduction articles in Shane's World. There are 100s of articles covering various catfish spawnings. Second, for each entry in the Cat-eLog there is a breeding section with links to breeding reports. Everything you are looking for is just a few clicks away on Planetcatfish.
