Abujam, S, R Mahato, D Bushi, G Nimasow, OD Nimasow & DN Das, 2022. A new species of the genus Parachiloglanis (Siluriformes: Sisoridae) from Arunachal Pradesh, India. Aqua 28: 67–78.

Abstract
Parachiloglanis paliziensis, a new species of torrent catfish, is described herein based on 3 specimens (1 female, 2 males, 54–66 mm SL) collected from the Bichom River, a major tributary of the Kameng River in West Kameng district, Arunachal Pradesh, India. The new species is readily distinguished from all known congener except P. dangmechhuensis in having the posterior margin of the adipose fin end with discrete notch (vs. adnate with caudal peduncle/ caudal fin rays); in having emarginate caudal fin (vs. truncate to semilunate or lunate) except P. benjii; in having a short adipose-fin that commences opposite the behind of tip of pelvic fin when adpressed (vs. a long adipose fin that commences opposite the end of tip pelvic fin or end of pelvic fin base) except P. bhutanensis. Further, it differs from all congeners except P. bhutanensis in absence (vs. presence) of black, white or pale yellowish markings on caudal fin base; in presence (vs. absence) of minute pores along lateral line or punctate lateral-line except P. hodgarti and P. bhutanensis. Dentition pattern of the new species differs from all congeners except P. dangmechhuensis. The new species is also distinguished from other congeners by the following combination of characters: greater dorsal-adipose length (26.98–31.48% SL vs. 15.9–26.7), larger pre-pectoral length (22.73–25.93% SL vs. 13.8–20.2), greater body depth (14.81–16.67 % SL vs. 10.2–14.7), shorter caudal-peduncle length (5.56–6.35% SL vs. 9.1–14), greater maxillary barbel length (83.33–92.86 % HL vs. 60.9–82.1), and no spot or marking on caudal fin base.
