I was wondering if anyone had any issues with baby l306 plecos and heaters?

I’ve not done L306 but I raised BNP. I moved to heaters with guards because I lost some fry/juveniles to heater burns.
Did you say “CATFISH!?” I’m in.

Thanks so much for your message! I added a matala pad to the corner of the tank to hide the heater behind!

Will a matala pad be fine enough to keep babies away? How big are your babies?

Myself, I use Fluval E series heaters which have built-on guards to keep fish away.

Good luck,
Eric

Hi Eric I also use the fluval E series in all my tanks.
I was just thinking the slots in the guard seem big enough for babies to get thru 🤔 💭
I been letting babies grow up in tanks after about 1" but sometimes very small babies escape. Non seem to get burned by the E fluvals!
