Tiger, or clown?

Post by Odinvalknir »

I'm pretty sure this is a clown pleco. That's how it was sold to me and as best I can tell from its markings, I believe it's too young still to identify sex yet. Sorry for somewhat low quality pictures, my tank has 3/8 in thick glass and it messes with the camera trying to focus.

The eyes look too big for and no species of that genus has thick, light coloured behind-the-eye stripe that runs straight over the head. Very few are not very stripey like your fish too. It looks more like , or at least a species of to me.
