Sturisomatichthys spawn

I did a water change on Tuesday and there was a stormfront that came thru yesterday that resulted in a slight drop in barometric pressure which may have triggered the spawn, yesterday evening I noticed the pair cleaning the tube but no eggs as of lights out, but now this morning bazinga in the exact same spot as the last spawn on 2-17-23, and I'm thinking I have 2 females because the 1st. spawn was only 3 weeks ago, and the eggs are clear when deposited and I would like to keep the eggs with the male as long as possible most breeders logs say right around 12days to hatch but how am I gonna get the eggs out

I've had the entire clutch of eggs die when I tried moving them. This was 2 years ago and they may not have been viable, I couldn't be sure now. Timing of moving /disturbing the eggs probably matters a lot, but my guess is earlier is better and later would be more sensitive.

I have my pair of Sturisomatichthys aureus in a 180litres tank, 100x60x30 cm. I don't take out the eggs nor the fry. I have the lights on 24/7 to keep the tank with algea, im on the third spawn since December. The male is now on his fourth round with eggs, and the first round is passed critical size and are ready to move on.

When i had S. leightoni, i moved the eggs with a hose after the first egg hatched, the rest hatched on the funride in the hose. Had them first in a icecream box with airstone, but after a while, i figured out that the best way for me, is the way i do with the S. aureus

Here's fry in different stages growing up in the same tank as the parents. There is also a breeding group of Aspidoras raimundi in the tank

How long do you expect it will take for the eggs to hatch?

My Rineloricaria lanceolata took 12 days on the first spawn, and now with the second spawn I still have unhatched (but developing) eggs on day 16! There are over 60 fry hatched already and about an equal number of unhatched eggs. I wish I knew if it was one spawn or if maybe the dad had two spawns a few days apart in the same tube. Ugh! #-O

I still have eggs and this male might be young, this is 2nd. spawn, but he's hanging in there and those eggs are spotless, and continuing to develop.

They're kind of hard to count, the row that you can see, they're at least 20 but then there are more rows that wrap around the lift tube towards the inside of the tank so they're quite a few.

Big Daddy
Big Daddy

Little feller taking a break
Little feller taking a break
Don't know if this is what's supposed to happen but now Big Daddy is helping tend to the eggs while the little feller is taking a break on the piece of driftwood nearby. And its amazing that the Daddys even stick around to help care for this new life that they have helped to create let allow two of them sharing in task, only in nature. And I don't know how to rotate those pics
