When is it safe to move L134's to a new tank?

Post by jd_7655 »

I've been keeping fish for 30 years but I'm being overly cautious with these fish. I have a colony of L134's that I want to move to a newly set up tank. Tank has been up and running for a month and a half. It's a bare bottom tank with 2 sponge filters. I have a group of bristlenose pleco's in the tank currently. Should I test the water for Nitrates. If there's no ammonia or nitrite should be safe right? Just looking for a 2nd opinion.

I'm assuming that your L134 are adults, and I would not only check nitrates but also ph, ammonia, and if everything checks out ok I would do a slow acclimation to their new tank, just my thoughts
