I bought a group of corydoras kanei a few days ago. But they look slightly difrent than c.kanei. Mine have a light black stripe behind the gils that goes al the way op to theyre dorsal fin spine. Does one of you know what species this is and no the name or c/cw number. If you need more or better pictures, i will give you them

The amount of black on the dorsal spine is variable. I'm focusing on the body spots because I believe kanei has spots that don't form lines. Your fish has lines of spots. Maybe it's a juvenile patten? Or it's not kanei. Are yours wild caught or captive bred? If the latter, can you ask to see the parents?

Good luck,
Eric

I asked the store and they say theyre captive bred. But they don’t breed them so i don’t have any pictures from the parents!

Can you ask the store what or who the source is? Maybe you can contact them directly. I've done that a few times. Sometimes I get no reply but other times I get just what I need.

Cheers,
Eric

I send a messege to my local fish shop what the source is but i don’t have a reply yet. They often respond within an hour. But until then do you have a clue what species this might be?.
