Sorry no pics yet. I bought 1 ,1 month ago, 2 more today. Labeled as "lace". 1 looks like a lace or eruptus ,2 inches long no tall dorsal, brownish with black spots. The other 2 are light brown with dark brown marbling. The new one is 2 inches and overall darker brown. The 1 I had for a month is lighter brown but still has lost no marbling and is about 2.75 inches.Best guess for me was schout's, but seen mouth diagram for the aterrimus and looks just like that.Also similar to "sp.5" coloring. Got em for $5 bucks a piece so couldn't pass em up (after the 1st one did so well).Ill try to get pics,but any help till then would be greatly appreciated. Eruptus or not , the 2 marbles are too cool =).

Thanks Silurus. Thought that might be the case . The 1 I had for a month was same color as the 1 I got today, but is much lighter brown now but still no marble dissappearence.Was hopin schout or aterrimus cause they are rare round here.Do all eruptus loose marble patterns, and if so when by? 4 inches or so? They remind me of my sailfin plecs color. Gotta luv them cats.

All S. eupterus eventually lose their marbled coloration. It's usually completely gone by the time the fish reaches 4".
