Is American Persimmon wood safe to use to make caves in an aquarium containing plecos and Venezuelan cories?

Hi, I have been using it for my aquarium for almost 2 years now and have had no problems. American Redwood is not known to be toxic to fish. It is used in some woodworking applications and as long as the wood is not treated (not stained, painted or sealed with chemicals) it will not be dangerous to your aquarium inhabitants. As the admin said, it is also a good idea to soak the wood before use.silkcreek wrote: 18 Nov 2024, 09:02 Is American Persimmon wood safe to use to make caves in an aquarium containing plecos and Venezuelan cories?
