A new view of genetic inheritance

A while back, I wrote the article
Wild caught or captive bred? and created pie charts to visualize inheritance of traits among offspring.
Today I saw a new way to visualize the same thing using gummi bears:
Who did it better?

I've always liked how complex this gets so quickly over just a few generations.
Without getting too political, I'd like to see the gummy bears genetic traits replaced by lampooned and cartooned representatives from various US states and their behavioural traits. Red bear could be Alabama, yellow I'd go for Massachusetts and then we could have California in green and how about, I don't know, Hawaii for orange?
And just so no one feels picked on you can easily have red=Welsh, white = English, green = Irish and orange for the Scots (yikes). I'd better stop now; all this has told me is we need to have blue gummy bears.
☺ ☺ ☺
Cheers,
Jools

I saw that on Facebook and thought it was good but (as a geneticist by training) preferred the detail of yours!
