Some kind of Bagrid?

Hi,

While travelling in Malawi in 1992, I came across a group of kids playing with a catfish on the beach at Nkhata Bay. I'm guessing it is a Bagrid because they are the most common of the larger catfish in the area, but am not sure.

I've scanned the negative at high resolution and blown the fish up. In doing so, I have inevitably lost a little detail, sorry.

Anyone know what it is?

Bagrus meridionalis. It's the only species of Bagrus known from the lake.
