using cool-water catfish in swimming pond to eat algae ?

Hi,
I found some articles on the internet about catfishes eating algae. I wonder if we can keep 1 (or more?) catfish in our non-heated swimming-pond (winter = 1-3 degr Celsius, summer can be 26 degr Celsius), to give them what they love: algae.
There are 2 other sorts of fishes in the pond, I wonder if they can happily live together. And most of all: will they not get a heart-attack from the playing children?
The pond is about 9 x 3,5 meters size, about 30,000 liters of water. Filtering is done with water-plants in a separate bassin.
Any info is mostly appreciated.
