Pseudopimelodidae lifespan

Hi,

I wonder, how long could live fish from this family, especially two species:

* Microglanis iheringi (I heard about real "Matuzalems" ;)
* Batrochoglanis (Pseudopimelodus) raninus raninus

I've these guys in my tanks, so I'm very interested about such data :)
Of course, any informations about other catfish species/families are interesting too
due to my interests :)

For either species you can bet on in excess of ten years to be considered a minimum. I know of at least one keeper with a Microglanis older than this.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they didn't make twenty years. Particularly the B. r. raninus.

Thank You for information,
that sounds really interesting - seems, that it's a chance
to have a real chum behind the glass :)

Wow, it's really interesting one.
Thank You for this link :)
I've remember my four Mystus vittatus which lived about 8 years, and my friend's 11 years old Megalechis thoracata. But it seems, that some fish are like turtles :)
