I have always wanted to keep Syn. longirostris. Has anyone seen them around?

You can occasionally get them here (the U.K.); I got two for the equivalent of $45 U.S. each.

Thanks, I guess they are not making their way to this side of the pond. How large are your longirostris now. Do they sift through the substrate for food like A. occidentalis?

I have since sold them, but about 7" and 11". I've never seen them sift through the substrate, although for a syno they have long snouts. The big one is the only syno I have succeeded in hand-taming.
They were a direct import by the LFS along with a bunch of Synodontis decorus. There can't be a lot of demand for them, because the LFS had the small one in stock for two years after I bought the big one.
