Hi everyone,
A friend of mine has asked me to ask if anyone knows of a good (but small) alge eater that he can put in a nursery tank that won't eat all his fry? anyone got any ideas?
cheers
Jon.

Also consider apple snails. They're, IMO, as efficient and safe as otos, and require less space.

I think I'd go with the otos. I have 4 zebra, 4 zebra (different markings), and 4 regular otos. They do a great job of algae eating and the supplemental zucchini and peas are devoured with abandon. Just be careful of who the otos are in the tank with. I believe I lost 1 or 2 small ones from a synodontis eupterus.
If you have a well planted tank, you can appreciate them in fuller detail. They have great personality!
Yes the beersnob drinks his favorite beverage and watches them!
God bless,
Scott
