I have just realized, that i don't have a clue what that is?!?!
i have never seen such thing in any cory breeding tank, but i constantly read about those "mops"...
can some one help me with pic?
maybe with these mops, i can more easaly breed some of mine corys... maybe my corys don't prefer glass...?

I've seen styrofoam used, as well as fishing bobbers to make the mops float. Some breeders prefer sinking mops, and have been very sucessful with them. I prefer hanging mops. I use plastic coated wire...and wrap it around the mophead. Make sure both ends hang out of the tank, so no metal is in the water. Avoid hanging the mop with yarn from the mop. Water will travel up the mop, and drip outside your tank.
The hanging mops work exceptionally well for panda cories. I suggest you make all 3 kinds (hanging/floating/sinking) and see which type you prefer. IMO the floating move around too much, and the sinking collect too much waste (especially live black worms).

I keep killies in a number of Cory tanks. I have both floating and sinking mops. I use corks for the floating mops. I will tell you a funny story. I had some killies in a large tank with C. cervinus. I was collecting what I thought were killie eggs from the mops, to my surprise when they hatched it turned out to be cervinus. The eggs were very small for a somewhat large Cory.

Thanks guys, I am still searching for good fiber... what about paint? Those fiber realeses paint in to the water??
BTW i have java moss in all my tanks so no need for sinking mops, and i think floating mops will be my best choice!!

I have been using spawning mops for twenty plus years, I use a dark green 4 ply polyester knotting yarn. These yarns are usually colour fast, that is to say that the dye use does not leach even when boiled. I make both straight stranded and curly stranded, it surprising how many Corys prefer the curly stranded mops when given a choice. To make curly stranded mops simply put them into boiling water for a few minutes I also make mops of varying lengths and densities to maximise choices for new species.
