hello all
i was wondering if it is going to be possible to donate part of the proceeds from fish i sell in the auction to planetcatfish. i plan on selling a few items there and would like to make a small contribution to planetcatfish. could someone tell me if the host club has made that option available to us?
thanks for a great site and all the work that has gone into it.

Ken,
Thanks for the compliments. Jools and I can certainly discuss the idea with Andrew, but I tend to think that PVAS is counting on the auction to help defray the costs of bringing in so many speakers from around the world.

We are definitely using the auction proceeds to fund the convention. But, if you are interested your share of your auction lot sales to PC I've figured out a creative way to do it.
Sellers will be filling out forms like this:
http://www.pvas.com/download/registrationform.pdf. If you fill out the form with PlanetCatfish's name and mailing address (presumably Jools or Shane could provide this for you) at the top instead of your own with the lots you wish to sell on behalf of PC, the check for the seller's share of the sale price will be mailed to that address.
I hope I explained that in such a way that makes sense...
The sellers' share is 70% and PVAS' share is 30%. Obviously since it's an auction we don't know what the prices are going to be like but with such a quality crowd of catfish enthusiasts I'm sure that the auction lots will bring good money. Please note that catfish are not the only items allowed in the auction! Any fish, plants or inverts are fair game and there will be quite a few other kinds of fish in the auction besides catfish. Blasphemy I know, but it'll be fun nonetheless.

Thanks for the offer! We might take you up on it. We're a bit short of auctioneers for this event.
Look forward to meeting you in October!
