Hoplos and stock cubes

Any thoughts as to whether it's advisable to feed hoplos a tiny amount of fish stock cube? I dip a corner of one in the water so they can each have a nibble. They like the taste of MSG just as I do, and don't seem to suffer from Chinese restaurant syndrome.

funily enough 2 weeks ago tried my bristle noses on vegy stock cubes ,, (good quality) they turned up their noses
(forgive the pun). so i took it out, but if they had taken to it, i would have kept my eye on the water perameters
for a week or two to see if they or the waste products
produced effected the water quality.

If you kept doing it, the water would get salty after a while.
When the hoplos misbehave (e.g. swallowing air and farting it back out, or trying to eat the plecos' algae wafers), I hold up a fish stock cube and say 'Hey--this could be you.'

As a bit of a cook (ex chef) there is nothing a stock cube except flavour. (derived from the disgusting bits of fish you don't want to know about).
Your fish are better off chewing on a pealed prawn head or a bit of cod.
