giraffe catfish

would these be ok with discus and would they eat cardinal tetras and other charicans

Giraffe Catfish can get huge. I saw a picture of a wild one that must have been 3/4 of a meter long! I wouldnt reccomend putting them with any small characins such as tetra....they will quickly become lunch.

, it would be impossible. They grow much too big very quickly, destroy your filtration by ploughing through the substrate until the tank is a murky swamp, and while not extremely predatory, they could not be trusted with small fish.
The smaller
Parauchenoglanis species are more manageable, but too predatory.
I would suggest
, which is readily available and well-suited to life with discus; and looks like a giraffe cat, although the two are only distantly related.

Also I see you have Jaguar catfish on your list. Those are too predatory to keep with tetras.
