Hi!

As a replacement for the spotted Syno that died in quarantine i brought home a juv Ctenopoma acutirostre of about 5 cm tl.
I recently set up a 80x35x45 128 litre tank which is supposed to house my Pelvicachromis taeniatus, Microctenopoma ansorgii and my S.nigriventris when its fully cycled. Ill then move the leopard to my 240 litre tank that houses the big Synos and is well planted.
They only had one but ordered more for wednesday so i plan to pick up more...the question is how many more? I was thinking 2-3 more or should i stay away from keeping them in a group?
The fish isnt shy right now and acts very nosy when im around the tank.
Heres a pic:

Thx for advice

ah, one of my favourite fish. as you can see from my pic on the left.

i have two in a 60 gal. the larger chases off the smaller occasionally, but other than that they get on fine.

i did read on the net that they can be quite scrappy with each other. but i have not seen any evidence of that myself.

i say go for it. get two more.

lots of hiding places will be needed though.
