Hope I spelled this right.
Just wanted to gather some info on this syno as I cannot find much online about it. I recently bought a very, very tiny one (maybe quarter of an inch long). I understand they are one of the larger synodontis but other than that don't know anything about them.

I'm in Michigan and would like to purchase a longirostris. I know you're near Chicago, where did you purchase it?

The LFS in Lombard Illinois. Tropiquatics is the name and they probably had about 30 very small ones when I was there last about 1 month ago.
Have you ever kept them before?

I have never kept them. Were they labeled as longirostris? 30 longirostris are extremely rare, are you sure these weren't acanthomias? How much were they asking?

Uh oh!! It is very probable that they were mislabeled in the store. Also, they are so small that I am not sure which of the two they are. Even at this length the nose seems to be elongated like Longirostris. I can post pictures next week when I return to Lombard and then you guys can tell me what I really have!

You can't. But read the sticky in the "What is My Catfish" forum. It's only one additional step if you use Imageshack.

Hey Jim,
Do you know what other LFS in the chicago area carry Angelicus besides king coral? I'm looking to put together a small group of them (4-5).
