The tail shape rules out the "galeatus-type" of Trachelyopterus.
Given that, the overall shape, relatively large eyes and the pattern I'd say it is indeed T. insignis or T. fisheri.

When looking at your picture I have no reference wrt sizes, so pls help me out here: you either have a huge net or a small fish?

Thanks for your reply, Birger & Marc o:-)

@Marc, ummm approx 3 inches or maybe more (4inches). Here I got another pic. It's quietly hard to get the pic because that fish can't stay ^#(^

Is it insignis /wood cat? 8-|

Hi Ainun, as the most common wood cat have been sold currently in Indonesia i would say that's a T. fisheri. But to make sure of the id if you could help with where the fish come from (importer, lfs, wholesaler or breeder) that would be very helpful, as there were some wood cats coming from Colombia a few months ago.

Cheers. :)

I'm sorry, but I find it very difficult to distinguish fisheri from insignis - or the other way round.
I had no doubts whatsoever that I kept fisheris some years ago, but I am not so sure now.......
