| Identification | A strikingly marked species. Appears very similar indeed to a species exported from Colombia. The Rio Xingu species (typically for fish species from that river system) has a higher contrast patterning which is more dull grey and sandy brown in the Colombian fish. This fact and locality aside, they appear identical. |
