Feeding Will eat a wide variety of live, frozen and prepared foods. Meaty foods are particularly relished, as are smaller fishes.
Furniture Provide plenty of rock and driftwood, which should be securely fastened.
Compatibility An aggressive loner. As with other Hemibagrus specis, very intolerant of other fish inhabiting the same tank. What it cannot eat, it will kill out of spite.
Breeding The fish spawn in pools within rivers or within the flooded forest, usually depositing the eggs in a substrate of leaves and twigs. The parents apparently exhibit brood care.
