Scientific Name Pseudolithoxus dumus  (Armbruster & Provenzano, 2000)

Type Locality Río Orinoco, backwater behind sand playa ca. 0.5 hr upstream from Isla Temblador, 3°04'N, 66°28'W, Estado Amazonas, Venezuela.
Etymology Greek, pseudes = false + Greek, lithos = stone + Greek, oxys = sharp.

Size 101mm (4") SL. Find near, nearer or same sized spp.
Identification Body color light with large, black spots at least anteriorly; spots may combine posteriorly to form bars. Tips of dorsal and caudal spines with light orange to cream-colored spots. Lateral line plates 24-25; dorsal plates 6-9; interdorsal plates 6-7; adipose-caudal plates 6-7; folded dorsal fin plates 11-14; and postanal plates 11-13

Also feeds on bloodworm pellets and tablet food.", "More active with two specimens. They are often both out, or at least visible. They do not seem overly tolerant of each other. There is a variation in colour too.", (8) prairiefire (k: 14), (9) Torb (k: 3), (10) alsvidur, (11) plecomanpat, (12) smitty (k: 3), who also notes: "Very nice and active pleco. Picked up a 3rd one on 8/22/11 from Captain Nemo's", (13) jimoo (k: 3), (14) a-401, (15) mdwflyer.
