Breeding |
Behaviour | Breeding is typical Corydoras T pattern after chase, I have 2 males in tank so some pre breeding aggression is also observed, o serious aggression is ever noted rather the larger male chases away smaller who attempts to breed the females eggs are always laid high on glass across from outflow of HOB filter |
Eggs | |
Segregation | Eggs are moved to small clear tote with parent water. Meth blue at 5 drops is added along with a few alder cones. Fry are hardy and grow fast (not as fast as Aeneus but fast) Once hatched the fry are moved to 10 gallon tanks or to a 55 grow out where they are mixed with cory fry to be grown and traded for other cory stock. My barbatus are currently being sold through "The Wet Spot" in Portland Or. |

Fry and juvenile feeding | Fry are fed as all my babies are on Micro worms, pre soaked baby flake foods, occasional thawed frozen dalphnia and small live black worms, black worm feedings are increased as the fish grow and are switched with Sera and New Life spectra catfish pellets, I also feed Repashy foods to both the fry and adults with good success. |
