Down Basics
Overview The first spawn was on Wednesday 3rd of January 2001. The breeding group consisted of 0 males and 0 females. Additionally, there were 5 unknown individuals present. The smallest male was at least 80mm SL and the smallest female was at least 80mm SL. The youngest adult was approximately 30 months old. The individuals were obtained from Beldt's Hatchery.
Further spawns Tuesday 7th of July 2020. 1 in total.

1.Hikari Carnivore Tablets (dry / prepared) two times daily

Other Water Params Tap water, without addition of RO, treated with PRIME. 30% weekly water changes.
Down Aquarium
Dimensions The aquarium dimensions were 457mm x 305mm x 457mm (18" x 12" x 18") all Length x Width x Height.
Furniture Plenty of rocks and caves. The spawning caves was homemade from fired clay, was white in color, with an oval opening. It was in the bottom, in a corner.

Lighting Poor
Heating Lots with submersible 200watt heaters.
Down Breeding
Behaviour Female was noticed to be very egg bound....about a week before spawning. Thought she might have been ill.
Eggs There were 12 eggs laid which were 0.0mm in diameter.

Segregation Yes, they were kept in a fry saver, although subsequent batches were left in with parents. The fry liked to be between a vertical piece of slate, and the glass wall.
