Re: Dia duit

another Irish man!, welcome along to a great forum packed with info.
Victor, Dia duit is a common irish greeting, it is generally just used as a form of hi or hello, it is a shortened version of 'Go mbeannaí Dia duit' which means may God greet you , or bless you or something along those lines

Re: Odd characin thread

yep, they are in my top 5 too, the huge scales and the amazing oily colours have to be seen to be believed, my pictures don't do fish justice at the best of times and in this case the photo is a million miles from what the fish looks like in real life

Re: CORK

the answer to both your questions is no, Cork city and county fishkeepers are starved of fish in general, never mind catfish, most of the shops buy from one supplier and generally stick with bread and butter fish, occasionally you can be lucky and find some nice cats that were miss ordered! if you a...

Re: Brochis Cats,

Re: Brochis Cats,

The Brochis cats are one of my favourite fish, amazing little armoured tanks cruising about rooting through leaf litter and sand for food, burying their snouts down eye deep with their tails up in the water as they search for food, to see them at their best you will need to keep a good sized group of...
