I don't understand the problem.
Remove both caves in a little seperate tank.
If you have 2 spawns every two weeks it is not insurmountable if you lose some wigglers ?
Take some pictures, remove the offspring and put back in the whole stuff.
Or is my look too simplistic ?

You don't have too many panda's in it but don't add 1 extra
Imo, Panaque Maccus suits perfect !
