Few other fishes came in with this Trichomycterus sp. - Batrochoglanis raninus, Pseudopimelodus bufonius & Cephalosilurus apurensis .

I have not seen them burrow or hide under the gravel before.

Unlike other clarias species, they are not that easy to keep.

My age is catching up. Missed to focus on the key part... but well, you still can see the papillae on the lower lip.

Thanks. I think so too after looking at the ventral view of the head and papillae on lower lip. Really happy with what I've got. Is like having different species due to the markings and color morph. :d I have seen some online photos of "Xyliphius cf lepturus" but seriously I cant tell them...

They came from Colombia. All about 7inch TL.

Last cat should be Batrochoglanis sp.

The adipose fin doesn't match Chrysichthys sp.

Try to drop the market prawn in front of them. I did that with my pair.

I used to have 3. They were introduced to the tank over 1-2 yrs period. The initial 2 cats were manageable with mild aggression. But clearly one was under stress all the time. All hell broke loose when I added the 3rd cat - a large female then it was over ! They do chase other bottom dwelling tankma...

It came in as Pseudomystus mahakamensis but it seems to match (photo) Pseudomystus stenogrammus based on cat-elog.
