Fast water flow?

Recently I installed an air diffuser onto my Eheim 2222 canister filter outlet pipe to create more air bubbles - to increase the oxygen level. As a result, water flow near the air diffuser increases. And I noticed all my cories are swimming more actively and 'surfing' up the tank wall around that ar...

Hi,
It would help if you could provide us with more information on the tank setup and water parameters readings. :)

Anyway, I guess the injury might have been caused by the adult angelfish.
(Have seen angelfish disturbing small tetras and cories in LFS  )

Don't alot of wild Cories die? CL1 I'm not sure whether a lot of wild cories die as I have very little experience with them. But I do read that proper quarantine will greatly increased the chances of survival. Anyway, I believe there are many wild ones that survive and even manage to reproduc...

Convict :!:  That's one of worst tankmates you can get for your cories. Sadz. IMO, your cories are constantly living under stress, as there is a predator/aggressor lurking around. Any wounds/injuries/infections will be greatly worsen in stressed state, leading to death eventually. Qns: How do...

Hi Kevin, Perhaps you would like to observe it closer to see whether is it eating. Throw in some pellets to test its response. From what I know, a healthy cory will rush immediately to the food or start to 'dig around' among the gravels. I always associate lethargic behavior with internal probl...

Nope, no new fishes or plants added in the past few months. I will be installing two more fans to the tank to further reduce the temperature. :) Could the temperature be one of the cause? Thanks for the reply. Those that show the symptoms are c.aeneus (albino) and brochis splenden. As for the scratching, I'm not sure how often they do it but it appears only recently. Those 12 of them are with me for almost 9 months. All are eating and breeding well. :) So, will a few drops of melafix...

Symptoms / Problem description Hi, I noticed some of my cories are twitching and scratching vigorously. Not always but just once a while for about 2 secs or so each time. Other than that, no other unusual symptoms or behaviors are seen. Anyone know what's wrong with them? Please advise. Thanks! Any...

Hi, I google around n found this. Gas bubble disease Gas Bubble Disease is caused by a sudden dramatic change in gas pressure in the aquarium. This can happen by changing too much water at one time or by adding cold water to the fish tank. Gas bubbles form in the fins and skin of the fish. The bubbl...
