Re: Breeding L91

no but perhaps i should have, but i saw a few infertile eggs and was worried as they might spread fungus.. also he didnt seem to be fanning them much so i took them. next time il let him try as i found the eggs hard to hatch, i lost around 90% but with what i have left im very happy! :d

Re: L325 "Jari" "Blue" Ancistrus

hey birger,

the spots are metallic sky blue mostly (the odd few look white) but the main body of the fish is dark blue, almost black id say when settled and happy... but if disturbed or stressed it goes a slate blue colour.

best wishes,

andrew

Re: blue-eye panaque

when you see it like that it looks a bit like some kind of papa panaque. i hope we get to the bottom of this, there's nothing worse than owning a fish and not knowing what it is... hurts my head! i bought them as p. cochliodon but mine we're later i'd on pf as p. sutto's.. now i dont know what...

Re: blue-eye panaque

i think it panaque suttoronum not cochliodon... A beautiful specimen of P. cochliodon . It is certainly not P. suttonorum , which has a white ring around the caudal peduncle and white fins as well. I do not have a copy of Galvis et al (Peces de Catatumbo) on hand, but something like 50% of the fish...
