Re: URGENT: Please help, sick skunk cory
Certainly a water problem, I am certain it is nothing parasitic, but bacteria will infect damaged areas. The first thing I would do is make a large water change 75% and then add a full dose of API Melafix. The red blotching under the scutes is hemorrhaging most likely caused by nitrite burn. Quite o...

Re: Poorly cories
Looking at the tank statistics I think the main problem is that the water is very soft and your nitrates are up a little, and it is the presence of nitrates that is probably causing the problem. The first thing I would do is a 50% water change and then reduce the amount of food. With very soft water...

Re: Corydora ID
This fish looks very much like CW026, reportedly coming from Venezuela, but the exact location is not known. For the record the genus name is Corydoras not Corydora. It is the same for multiple or single fish. Image courtesy Ian Fuller & Corydorasworld.com http://www.corydorasworld.com/img/galle...

Re: Cory error CW023 and CW014 ?
Firstly the original CW014 Red stripe (Not a laser sp) and CW023 Orange stripe (Not a laser sp), were two different groups of fish purchased a different times but from the same store (pier Aquatics) The CW014 "red stripe" had a very red stripe, which was enhanced by the black base of the t...

Re: Blue corydoras weitzmani
I think for you to get a the true colors of the fish to show you need to keep them over a natural tan colored substrate. Black substrate will always make your fish go dark.

Re: Corydoras Zygatus?
In my opinion the fish in the picture are albino C. zygatus, most if not all albino fish will show the type colour pattern as in the effect of brushed velvet.
I can clearly see all the pattern characters of C. zygatus in these fish.

Re: Corydoras sichry..?
Personally I think thr RA picture is C. atropersonatus I have posted an image of all 4 species. The spotting in both C. atropersonatus and C97 are similar well defined rounded well spaced spots, in C. sychri and C53 the marking are more like small irregular blotches and tend to be more compacted. Re: Is Corydoras sp. CW023 = CW014?
They are both the same species, CW014 was determined on specimens that had been kept over black substrate, which darkened the fish giving them a red stripe. Over normal lighter substrate the stripe is orange. These are not the same and should not be confused with CW010 the 'Gold laser'
