Re: Hypancistrus sp. L174
I'm not sure this is a L174.
L174 don't have straight lines on the dorsal fin.
So maybe L400 or L287

Re: Smoke coming out of cave of L201
Hi Aleger,
The tank is 80 x 40 x 40 cm, 6 L201 with much caves.
They have Corydoras, hockeysticks and redheads for company.
I'm not sure about the males/females, possibly 4F and 2M

Re: Smoke coming out of cave of L201
Thanks
I find it difficult to see the eggs.
After this cloud of dust, I tried my best to search for eggs, didn't see anything.
Whilest he had eggs, but if it's the only way
Thanks very much I've learned a lot again

Re: Smoke coming out of cave of L201
Dear Apistomaster,
Thanks for your advice!
I remouved the eggs, because I heard it's difficult to let them eat when they're in the cave with dad.
Do you always let dad care for the spawn?

The rest of the gang seemed heatched dead.
Before heatching they seemed alive (see picture).
Does someone have any idea what this could be?

Smoke coming out of cave of L201
Hello everyone,
Today I saw a cloud of smoke coming out of the cave of my L201. His odontodes looked longer as usual. Could this be a cloud of sperm?

Re: L075 body colour fading with age?
I'm no expert, but most pleco's are getting fader when they get older.
And when plecos are chubby, they also get fader.

Re: Which Hypancistrus sp.?
I think you're coming near with 10-12 months, they're 5-6 cm I guess.
I also thnk the pattern is still changing of these species.
There's a photo of a older one:
This pattern reminded me a little of L66

Re: ID please
The tail shape looks diffrent between the plecs on your pics and the L136C called on the internet. The tail looks more forked on your plecs. But I do think it's a Hypancistrus sp. I have L136A, but mine are darker, less little spots. So for the little spotted plecs maybe L262? I don't know about the...
