This poll opens a much bigger can o' worms than it appears. I had a juruense catfish that woukd eat nothing but live fish when he was relly small. The LFS had got him as a "box filler" in a shipment from south america and knowing the size he could potentially attain meant that I had him fo...

Loisomadoras oncinus grow too big but loisomadoras morrowi grow to much smaller. They are also very cool looking, some people think that they are the less atractive but when they settle down and are happy they go really dark with very bright tiny spots on them. I have three of these which reside wit...

Would not once a month with a big feed is asking for trouble with amonia spikes. Bacteria need feeding also and leaving the filter ticking over on minimal amonia from respiration would surely starve the bacteria? I would say once a week medium feeding would be more apropriate. I have found Juruense ...

There are idiots out there keeping fish and they should really be made aware of what they are doing. I once wen't to buy a fish from a private seller that had in a 6'x2'x2' aquarium, and follow this carefully cos you are not going to believe it. A red tailed catfish A Psudodoras niger A tiger shovel...

Check this link to see a picture of one I had that died after severely burning himself on a heater.
If you do get one learn from my mistake and fit a heater guard or better still an external heater.

Keep the juruense! I have kept juruense and some of them are stuuning I believe no less stunning than the tigrinis. Also Juruense are nowhere near as skittery as tigrinis. When they are really small it is hard to see if they are going to have distinct stripes but when you get a good one it is great ...
