There are several, I prefer Aquabid that many importers and breeders use to sell their fish.

tank heaters
OK, I just cooked a nice group of C pygmaeus and have another brand new heater that does not work. It may have shocked my breeding group of C melini. The pygmies just had their first spawn a couple weeks ago. What kind of heaters do you all use? I have not had any problems yet with the newer Ebo Jae...

Re: Have you got experience with L075s?
I have 5 in a 125 gal tank with lots of hiding places and have not seen any aggressive behavior from any of them. I would make sure you have several hiding places they can use. Offer them different sizes in different areas of the tank

Re: New L-75 Para Pleco
I have a group of 5 adults in a 125 gallon community tank. They are awesome fish, they get along nicely with everyone, are very active, are omnivores and are beautiful fish. Get him some friends, you will love them! They do like to hide part of the day but they often are out and about in light.

I would also suggest you keep the herbivores and carnivores with their own types. You can probably group omnivores together more successfully.

Re: Catfish species with Plecos
in my community 125 gallon tank I have 30 cories of 6 species, 2 Bristlenose plecos, 2 large L-200, 1 L-204, 5 L-75, and a dozen fry of L-129 and L-201 and they get along great-- my guess is it boils down to which plecos do you want to get?

a Rockroller?
A good friend of mine used to catch a bullhead-type fish they called "rock-rollers" when they were kids. This was on the Kankakee River in Indiana, south of Chicago. He said it was a small bullhead with red triangular spots on the top of its head. I did not see anything like that in the Am...

new experience for me
I have a black C schultzei that has been in a quarantine tank for a couple of weeks now and she decided to lay a bunch of eggs in it. Her first eggs ever. (Yes, she has been put back with the rest of the group!)
Have others had single female cories lay eggs on their own?
I thought it strange.

I have four different peckoltia and they are easy to maintain and beautiful fish. They are also in community tanks and get along fine as long as you provide enough hiding places.
