Re: Cory Schultzei (black) ???

Fair enough, you didn't know. Generally, within species groups you can get hybrids if they are kept together. Both you species falls into the aeneus-group of species. There would not have been hybridisation if you kept C. elegans together with C. acutus for instance. If you keep them to yourself and...

Re: Good Fish Shops, L-breeders, resellers in Copenhagen,Den

"KUN" means "only"...as in "Get this for only 7 euros".

Currency is Kroner (or Kr.).

To get prices in Euro, divide with 7,5 and you have approximate amount. A pump cosing 750 Kr. would cost approx. 100 Euros.

Try www.bonniedyrecenter-rødovre.dk

The shops are within a few minutes from CPH center by car so it's not too bad.

Re: Parotocinclus cf. cesarpintoi

I've kept P. spilosoma before and these are not the same I think. The markings on the males are very much like the pic in the P. cf. cesarpintoi datasheet with the "bars" on the back. I'll try to get time to do some photos today. Edit* I've had some correspondence with Hans Evers and appar...

I'm not an L-cat man, but these shops are the ones I visit when I'm in CPH and they usually have a good selection:

www.bonniedyrecenter-rodovre.dk
www.bonniedyrecenter-glostrup.dk

Some people also use www.neonfisken.dk but be careful, they are crap about ID's.

Re: Please Help : ASPIDORAS ALBATER Or ASPIDORAS Cf. ALBATER

I'd put my money on Aspidoras CW52.

It has been in the hobby for a couple of years at least under the names of A. albater/A cf. albater.

Nice fish, I keep/breed them myself.

Re: Cory ID please

The first one is too snouty to be C. trilineatus. It is something from the C. leopardus-group (leopardus, C102, gomezi). Wich species I can't tell for shure. The other one is probably a Brochis but it looks a bit snouty for a splendens. Usually "latus" is a trade name for C. pantanalensis,...

It has not been officially put in with Corydoras yet as the work is not finished. I don't even know if it will be put in Corydoras. We just had a little sneak peak at the CSG Convention in march :foggie: But when you think about it, they are caught a long way from all the other Apidoras and they are...

Re: any tips for aspidoras spilotus?

Good luck with your project. I tried raising Aspidoras pauciradiatus and I did get some eggs but even in soft, acid water I could never get their eggs to hatch. They placed most of their eggs near the outlet of a power head driven sponge filter on adjacent side panes and plants. I may be wrong but ...

Are you measuring SL=Standard Length (without tail) or TL=Total Length (with tail)? A 7,5 cm. fish (SL) would be aroung 10 cm. (TL).

Re: Corydoras diphyes info?

I've bred C. diphyes for some years now. You are right about temperature. It needs to be low...18-22 celcius. I keep mine in soft water. pH 6-6,5 and 150-200 microsiemens. They usually spawn after a 50% waterchange with colder water (14-15 celcius). The fry is fairly easy to raise. Good luck with th...

Definately not julii. The snout is too pointed. C. leopardus is certainly a good bet. I'm not good at destinguishing the species in the C. leopardus/C. gomezi/C128 etc. complex from eachother. But it's one of those :foggie:

First Corypic could be a bunch of species...do you have any loaction or maybe country of origin?

The last Corypic show C. fowleri and C96 (the two in the front). Both caught around Iquitos, Peru.

Don't worry about the fry. Probably the females is laying eggs on her own without fertilization. I have seen this on some occasions. The "grain of sand" sounds like unfertilized eggs to me. Have you actually seen the fish in T-position with the bronzes? I think they are to remote in geneti...
