Re: Breeding L91

There where embryos in some of them but I couldn't see embryos in most of them. Ive raised fry artificially many times and never wit...

Re: Gender of L25
Well, it could be good but I think it depends on the tanks size and interior! If you have a large tank it could be good, so the male find a good female that he likes! How large is the tank? As in the L600/L114 article I've also have experience that they pair up and the bully the second female. I don...

Re: Gender of L25
They could probably get to spawn but if they are more equal in size the better i think!
But you need a large tank with a lot of hiding places for the female!
He could easy kill her if shes not able to get away and a stessed female will not get full with eggs!

Re: LDA105 Typhoon 27cm ~ Sexing please (3)
It would be better if we tried to respekt IBAMAS work and leve the protected species in their habitat! Perhaps they will be legal in the future, but as long as they are not... we should respekt their laws to protect these fishes!
Just my opinion!

Re: L200 breeding
Hello! Taking the other male out is av very little insection in the tank sens hes in the a cave, in another part of the tank. And just adding a rock there and another female wouldn't interupt them to much. The female that spawned is quite thin now sens she spawned two times in 2 months so they need ...

I agree! Large females tend to look a bit more like males but compared with a large male the differences is clear! Especially looking at the odontodes at the snout!

I think there is sand in the nature where they live, but fine gravel works fine by me! It depends a bit on the cirkulationssystem in the aquarium!
