Re: lone Black Corydoras Schultzei, get more of the same or
A Cory-collection defo isn't a decent Cory-shoal. As said at another forum : If you can't get Blacks and you won't breed them : het "normal" Schultzei / Aeneus. Those (sub)species will defo interact and have "healthy" social behaviour. Cheers Aad

Re: Dwarf Cory confusion: Habrosus or Hastatus?
don't think so. They are hardly mixed up overhere (Holland : Europe). Hastatus is quite rare overhere BTW.syno321 wrote:The misidentification problem of habrosus and pygmaeus being called hastatus seems so universal that I think it must be originating with the exporters in South America.

Re: Sandpatch enough for cory's?
I seriously get your worries supercorygirl but I don't think this stuff is a problem. Overhere (Holland) there often is "panic" about gravel. What I'd like to say is that too me it isn't a big problem as often thought, butttttttt Corys do like sand more to scavage (whole head in) let it &q...

Re: Sandpatch enough for cory's?
I'd say it is enough. Your gravel don't look sharp to me. Funny thing is that the Corys I adopted from tanks with gravel are the ones with the longest barberls. Barbelloss is caused by bacterial infections due to bad water / possible scratches by real sharp gravel. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/12/16...

Re: Pleco disease?
To my believe viral diseases in fact are untreatable. It can cure itself, isn't very lethal (only as specific organs are infected or by secundairy infections. Think that's important to keep an eye on (treat secundary onfections). But I can be wrong so like to read other opinions. Cheers Aad

Thanks Super and Ian : I knew most of this and feeding mine indeed a variation of food of which the biggest part is meaty. Only thought the more protein the better, but thanks for clearing that.

ID "spotted" corydora
Okay clear Ian!! What I actually meand to say : lots of people feed algaewafers / vegs to their Corys causing several health issues after some time to my believe. This Cory doesn't appear to feel okay to me, so I thought this maybe could be the problem. BTW what will be the problems when they eat th...

Re: Cross breeding cory panda and trilineatus?
Short answer, it is possible. Longer answer, possible and probable that the offspring you have, if any, will be hybrids. Hybrids are not something, and this is only my personal opinion, any reputable hobbyist or breeder should produce knowingly. If you have fry that survive, nice: but they should n...

My emeralds were bleuish when juvenile. Being both Aeneus couldn't this be some kind of "hybrids" ??

Are your fish wormed? They look very thin indeed. Just visited someone with Discus and Corys. That Corys all were chubby cause of the Discusfood. Still thinking of bacteria but will wait for the real experts to react. The one on the right at the first pic is a Trilineatus to my believe????

Lonely Panda Cory? Mixing cories
A corycollection is something totally different than a coryshoal, especially at the part of social behaviour. Swimming together also doesn't mean social interaction. For all Corys i'd say get them companions of their own species!!!! There are not a lot looking like Pandas btw. Some species have a lo...

What do you feed them Fizzy? Looks bacterial to me. Could be columnaris, but in that case the other fish would be infected ass well I think. At what temp are you keeping them?
