Silurus - is there a way to mailorder Liquisil? Also , as I mentioned earlier - any thoughts on Metronidazole? I do not like to add any medication to tanks not needing it and even when something that does. I'm just a little leary about all the different chemicals. So far I have used RicIck and am ha...

Silurus - is it a medication or just a waterconditioner? BTW - has anyone tried Metronidazole as a deworming/deparasiting med on newly imported plecos especially when quarantining? And if so has it helped in getting them to eat? It seems to help cleaning out parasites in cichlids so I figured it may...

Hmmm, I haven't noticed my plecos eating live food - they do seem to like to suck on shrimp though.

Plecoboy - the casiualties occured in separate tanks and in one tank it was only one fish the t didn't make it(outof 3). However the others seem a bit skinny and s...

Best way to nurture fancy/wildcaught or any new plecos back?

As I have just lost an L-201 and recently an L-177(Yes, I know they are tender) I have to ask this question. What are the best tank conditions and best food to use to nurture some of these starvedlooking little fish back to health? Sometimes it just seems impossible to get them to eat. So far my reg...

What do you feed an L-114 ?

I just got an L-114 and am trying to figure out a more permanent address for him, right now he is in with an L-168 and an ancistrus as that tank has plenty of bogwood and seems to be the best startertank for any plecos I have gotten. I am curious about the feeding and growth habit of the L-114 thoug...

What kind of pleco - sold as galaxy.

http://pic3.picturetrail.com/VOL22/551337/1724338/29199674.jpg Right about 3", of the three , one has larger spots and two have smaller. It seems like more white spotting in real life. http://pic3.picturetrail.com/VOL22/551337/1724338/29199699.jpg http://pic3.picturetrail.com/VOL22/551337/1724...

Thanks Silurus I looked at the pics and according to the thread you posted mine could be an L-200 male straight fin. It has a darker background and doesn't look green at all that is why I was leaning towards the L-128. Spots are more bluish and cover the whole body. It is about 4-5" and quite a...

What is this?

I was thinking L-128 or L-200. It was sold as an emerald pleco but looks more bluish or turkoise. Either way I don't know much about it and there is not much info on it.

I have an american eel in the tank and he is a real pain so I buy Melafix by the quart. I have it in a 125 at work (it was dropped off by a customer who couldn't take it terrorizin...
