Re: sexing L095
Hi there. Pics do not help but i have two comments. These fish supposed not to be cave spawners/how this can be replicated in a tank? Second from the second fish a can clearly see (correct me if wrong) a white 'liquid' coming from it's genital which to me looks like semen (?) I believe they are two ...

Re: Pseudacanthicus sp. L114 breeding.
The orange collour is starting to show up. I removed 29 of them today from the original aquarium into a smaller frybox that is ventilated with water from the main tank. I found out that the first 15 babies i took out was growing twice as much as the rest. And it has been no loss in the box. Got a p...

Kouen, Keep a close watch on the quality of the water. Four fish of that size produce a lot of waste! CoryWally and husky_jim I am hoping to add solid data to the L114 / L600 discussion soon. I currently have over 100 3month old pure 'L600' fry and over 200 1month old fry where the male is an L600 ...

Re: Pseudacanthicus
Without wanting to railroad this thread, what's the general concensus between L114 and L600? Are they regarded separate species or regional variants. The breeding log in Shane's World describes various breeding experiences with mixed parents, without any concerned comment on hybridisation. The reas...

Re: Pseudacanthicus
Hi, I don´t think they are L 114, they look more like Pseudacanthicus leopardus to me, due to the very small spots on the head. But the caudal fin is kind of irritating me, cause of the orange part. Bigger pics might help. I agree, that first one is a male, and last one looks like it could be a fem...

All fish are L114.
I cannot tell cause the pics are not expanding but i believe the first one is a male and the last one female.

There is only a single full body pic on the paper. The specie is small (less than 5cm SL - holotype is 47,2mm)and they produce a very small amount of relative big eggs.

The other thing that bothers me about the large Panaque is where they lay their eggs. They usually will not breed without massive current and quite decent depth therefore often a typ...
