just try doing a 50% water change while you swish around the whole tank so you can get as much bacteria you can get

when the fry have hatched and are free swimming, is it ok to leave them in there with the parents, or do the parents eat their own fry? my pakistani loaches suffered the same problem. all i know is that its a bacterial infection but i think maybe a guy known as larry (Apistomaster) on this forum is the scientist you could ask him about this problem

the reason i like these filters because they work like canisters except inside the tank and the have more intake holes than other filters allowing for more filtration

the problem with the canister sponges is that they dont catch the debris so i have to decieded to add wool into the filter-catchs most of the debris so i clean the filter once a week because of it.

you could try garlic extract or feeding him mussel?

i've used an old rubber band. eventually the rubber band will break but by then hopefully the plant will establish on the wood but by the looks of it right now its putting its roots on neighboring plants wood and even a small cave!! but Im thinking of using cotton next time

i found that "good paremters" differ from person to person.
i had a pleco suffering pop eye. i did every 2 day water changes of 35% and adding a half dose of aquasonic bactonex (actually smaller because your only suppose to use full dose every 5 days.)
