pygmy cory fry
Hi,
I just collected a few pygmy cory fry from my main tank. Can pygmy fry take microworms as their first food or can they only handle infusoria? thanks

Tips for moving fry?
Any tips on catching fry? I need to move some larger panda fry, that have started to eat dried foods, out of the breeding box and move them into their own tank.

removing eggs immediately?
Hi,
My pandas have been spawning vigorously every other day, always at around 10pm. While one female is depositing eggs in the java ferns, the other females go egg hunting. Is it ok to remove the eggs immediately after they've been laid?

Did you soak your decapsulated brine shrimp cysts in fresh water? That will soften them up whereas a brine solution tends to leave them intact. I have tried the dbbsc myself and my Cory fry did not always seem to recognize them as food. They began accepting them better when I fed them cysts with a ...

Right now I'm raising some sterbai fry, and once I've freed up a tank I'll try to spawn my pandas. I've been trying to feed decapsulated brine shrimp eggs, but the fry treat them like sand, in it goes and out it goes through their gill plate. That's why I want to give the hatchable ones a try. Do yo...

question about bbs
When the baby brine shrimps hatch, do they swim all over the tank? If so how do you feed them to cory fry since they stay at the bottom of the tank?

starving fry?
New to breeding and raising fry. I have 5 sterbai fry from the first spawing that is about 1 cm big, they look healthy enough but they will only eat microworms and whiteworms. I'm trying to switch them over to dried foods such as decapsulated brine shrimp eggs, but they show no interest. Is it safe ...

leaving adults in breeding tank?
I moved my breeding sterbai trio (1 female and 2 males) to a barebottom 10gal tank to spawn. And they spawned the next day, only around 25 eggs though (only 4 days between their last spawning). I would like to leave the adults in this tank for more eggs, but afraid the they will eat their fry. Do I ...

She spawned again, about a week later from the last time. I did not do a cooler water change to initiate this spawning, temp was steady at 75F (24C), guess once they start, a cooler water change is not necessary to trigger them. This time I was able to collect around 30 eggs. Another reason to move ...

decapsulated brine shrimp eggs
Anyone feed decapsulated brine shrimp eggs to their cory fry? Will 1 week old fry be able to eat these eggs? I have some 1 week old sterbai fry and I'm feeding microworms and powered flake, would like to add some baby brine shrimp but don't want to bother hatching them.

Very new to breeding corys, this will be my second spawning, first being the bronze. I only managed to retrieve around 15 eggs and 5 were infertile. The rest still haven't hatched yet but they are an amber colour so I'm hopeful that they will hatch tommorrow. Yeah I need to move them over to their o...

Reason I asked is because I'm not certain of the cooler water change. THe heater I'm using, the lowest temp setting is 75F and that's the usual temp the tank is in. When I do 50% cooler water change using 65F water, the tank goes to around 72F and if I leave the heater on it'll go back to 75F within...

My tank temp is set at 75F and room temp is 65F, when I do a cooler water change, should I unplug my heater? If so how long should I leave the heater unplugged? thanks

Is 75F too high for S. barbatus?
LFS has some S. barbatus, I would like to add a pair to my mixed cory tank, but from reading their profile, they like it cool and my tank is at 75F. Will it be a mistake?
