Re: "black" corydoras?
Mats: Thanks for the input... After much deliberation and input from others, it seems I would be better off, simply biting the bullet and purchasing several of the Darker blacks from this local store..... Now the next thing is hopefully trying to sex them???? if you have any insight on this it would...

Re: "black" corydoras?
I was given some advise on breeding for black, and I will tell you what they said.. maybe you can impart your opinion here.. It was told that if I purchase one or two of the blacks and breed them to a sterbiae or shultzie, and then cull for best black color, cross them back to black parents to stren...

Re: "black" corydoras?

:-?? OK.... Can someone please give me the skninny on black corys..... are they a dark phase of existing species, or a morph, or are they a distinct variety to themselves. Does anyone breed them, and are any available???? I saw a couple (NFS) in a pet store, but the fellow there couldn't really give...

Re: Feeding Baby Bristlenose plecos
I took them out for a couple reasons... 1st, because I didn't know better, but more importantly, 2nd... I have some perugiae's in that tank, and figured they would snack on them..... I suppose I could take them out and let the fry go with parents....
but didn't have a tank available at the time....

they are starting to move a little more now, but still have yolk sacs...

Re: Breeding perugiae's
Thanks so much for the input.... I have mine in a 10 gal... but because of space limitations, I had put some smaller bristlenose plecos in it also... figured with the clay tubes and such there was enough hiding spaces for all... the darn plecos laid eggs, so I have moved their wigglers up to a fryho...

Spirulina Powder:
Hello:
I am thinking of buying Spirulina powder (for a couple different applications, but primarily for food supplement for daphnia)
Can anyone enlighten me as to where one would purchase it, or sources of already made prepared foods for daphnia...
thanks
