Hey,

they should be fine as long as you provide more hiding spots than phyllonemus. They may be really nasty in breeding mood and weak fish have to hide.

Re: Five unidentified Synos

You are almost right.
let me change your post to proper one.
The spots on Syno 1 are to big for petriola, I think its lucipinnis.
Now you are right :D.

Check photos here on PC or on web why you are wrong.
Also I have both lucipinnis and petricola. This one is definitelly a lucipinnis.

Hello, I've been never good at curing fish from nematodes and I'm pretty sure that your fish is suffering because of them. The problem is there are two kinds of pretty popular nematodes and two needs totally different medicines. The best way is to ask someone who is keeping discus cichlids in your a...

I would say also (Dark One have bad counting ;). 1 is Imho lucipinnis 2 greshoffi I'm not sure about 3 but I would say it is not a hybrid. I've no idea about 4th - fish is too young to be 100% what it is and what it is not imho. 5th is a hybrid because of too many features from different species in ...

Hello Birger, mine are from 7 cm to over 20 cm (the alpha male is still growing, others pollis also but not so fast, especially the smallest one growth rate is not high). Hello, It looks like something was growing under the sking and then causing a skin rot and falling of the body. I'm not sure if it is a open wound or not. But I'm guessing it's not since there was no blood at all. Also almond leaves won't work in high alkaline water with enormous gh and kh like mine...

Hey,

usually sometning in the sand or gravel is dissolving and raising Ph. If you use bigger stones for decoration they also can contain some Ph buffers.
