Re: A spawning from C. Napoensis

Hello, Well I'm sad to say :( these little ones are not doing so well.... It seems like they don't want to eat. I don't see them searching for food. They just sit in a corner and die  I don't know at the moment why they are so poorly. I change the water 2x a day and feed them as often as I can ...

Re: A spawning from C. Schulzei

Hi there,

These little guy's are doing fine!!
There growing well and are now about 5-6 mm, two weeks old. They are also looking more like corydoras.
I've started feeding them soaked tablet foods as well now and they seem to like it.

I'll keep updating my progress

Re: A spawning from C. Napoensis

Hi, Thanks all for the reply's. I think I've solved the problem. I guessed it was a bacterial problem, witch fills the little body with water and cannot leave the body, so the fish fills up until it burst  I don't know how you call it.....well I do but only in dutch  I've put a little b...

Re: A spawning from C. Napoensis

Hi, The fry are having a little problem at the moment. Most of them are doing fine and are active and swimming around. But this morning I found 2 that were dead. They had very enlarged bellies. They are only 2 days old so it isn't because I fed them to much.....I don't feed them yet. I can see 3 or ...

A spawning from C. Napoensis

Hi there!! Sunday morning I found eggs from my C. Napoensis. They put them under the leaves of some plants I put in for them. That was very exiting because I didn't expect them to lay eggs yet. They were still scared and hid a lot. Maybe because they were wild caught? The eggs hatched yesterday. The...

Re: A spawning from C. Schulzei

Hi Karsten, Interesting reply about the nitrite. I'll keep that in mind if they decide not to spawn anymore  After the first time spawning they did so twice after that but I didn't collect the eggs that time. The fry are in a tank with some sand. I read that here on the site. I also had the ti...

Re: A spawning from C. Schulzei

Hi, I only had these corydoras species for 2 weeks. The tank had a NO2 piek (new filter). The fish never suffered because I changed there water every day for at least 50%. Then one day they just started spawning. The water showed a bit white so I tested it and saw that it contained a lot of NO2, the...

Re: A spawning from C. Schulzei

Hi, Thanks a lot for your advise. I did remove the white eggs but I found it difficult because they stick together so much. I have to say.....I tested the water conditions of the adults tank and I'm sorry to say......it had a lot of NO2 in it :( So my hopes of this spawning flew out of the window af...

Re: A spawning from C. Schulzei

Hello, As I go along more questions rise. Do I have to remove the white eggs? Or is it better to leave everything alone? I still have them in a net in the adults tank. When should I move them to a little tank for themselves? Before or after the have come out of there eggs? Hope someone will give me ...

Re: Breeding Peru Green Stripe Corydoras

Hello, Thanks for the reply's. I did already read the articles from Don Kinyon, quite interesting. I currently keep my Cory's at 22 celcius and give them a water change every 2-3 days. The fresh (tap) water is about 16 celcius. My PH is 7,2 from the tap. Are there more people with experiences to sha...
