I also have encountered this. I had two longfin albinos that one grew perfectly while the other stayed around 2-2 1/5 inches. I had them in a high tech planted 60gal for almost 3 yrs. I have bred the larger one an it has been very productive.

Fantastic Fins is a great place with a nice variety of plecos and i also got to see there breeding setup with l260 or something i think they were calling them salt queens.
