Re: little brown trilineatus
It's quite common for corys to produce the odd dark (or pale) fry sometimes. I have seen it with duplicareous, sterbai, panda and other species.

Re: Corydoras Amandajanea & Corydoras Sp C143 the SAME speci
C. amandajaneae is from a tributary to Rio Negro and C143 is from Rio Tapajos, so they are not exactly neighbours...I'd say they are probably not the same species.

Re: ID pitbull 'contaminant' anyone?
Thanks Karsten :) I'll give that link a good look one of the next days! I just skimmed it for now and those eggs I could easily have missed. Only other fish in the tank is Centromochlus perugiae (wich have spawned twice but the eggs seem to dissolve within a day) and L159. I haven't seen any extra a...

Re: ID pitbull 'contaminant' anyone?
Karsten, thanks for the explanation
How did you induce them to breed? I have a good group of these fish (P.jumbo contaminats) and the females are almost exploding. I treat them like I treat P. jumbo but nothing happens. I've bred loads of P. jumbo a few years back though.

Re: Possible Hybrid Orange Laser
I'm shure it would be possible for those two species to crossbreed. They are in the same group of "Corys" (the group that contains aeneus, venezuelanus, schultzei, lasers, eques, etc.). Personally I would never let any fish enter the hobby if I suspected they were hybrids. In my fishroom t...

The first ones looks like young C120 to me. My C91 doesn't have the black colouration in the dorsal, but my C120 does.
Tha last ones are C. oiapoquensis.

Re: Corydoras sp
Here's my pic of the other specimen...the stripe is a little longer. I think Kampfers pic comes pretty close... C92 was also mentioned in the discussion at the Convention. I am really not shure what to think. I can see resemblences to both C115 and C92. Perhaps it's neither? I've had a look at my pi...

I took pics of the other fish in the tank. Will upload it tomorrow. Your fish look more C115-like than the other specimen I think.
I'll take pics of my own C115/116 too for comparison.

Re: What Is The Best Filter For CORYDORAS family ?
I use air-driven HMF-filters in all my tanks (currently 45 for Corys, breeding, raising and stocktanks) and I'm very happy with this setup. Low maintainence and excellent filtration.

I use spriulina-powder instead of yeast...I have the idea that the worms are better food for the fry of they are fed spirulina. Anyway, it does not smell even half as bad as if using yeast, which especially my girlfriend appreciates:)
